Nigerian actor Olu Jacobs, a prominent figure in Nollywood, passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 84. Born Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs on July 11, 1942, he had a career spanning over 40 years in theater, television, and film, becoming a respected actor and a bridge between the old and new generations of Nollywood. In addition to his acting career, he co-founded a production company and a training school for young actors with his wife, Joke Silva.
