Yamoussoukro: 5,231 Young People Lifted from Poverty for Agriculture and Green Jobs

The Autonomous District of Yamoussoukro announced on May 13, 2026, that 5,231 young people have been lifted from poverty through the Youth Employment and Skills Development Project (PEJEDEC) and the C2D mechanism. These youths received vocational training and a guarantee fund of 150 million FCFA. Covered sectors include market gardening, hairdressing, and compost production, among others. The District has also been selected for PEJEDEC 3 and C2D phase 3, aiming to further support youth professional integration.
