From April 22 to 24, 2026, the Directorate of Narcotics and Drug Police (DPSD) conducted an operation in Yamoussoukro, seizing 100 kg of drugs and 25 tons of counterfeit medicines. Nearly 400 agents were mobilized to dismantle distribution networks and raise awareness among youth about the dangers of drugs. Interventions targeted key areas such as the sacred forest of the Energy neighborhood and the Mofêtai market, where stocks of inferior quality medicines were uncovered. The seized products were incinerated in the presence of authorities, emphasizing law enforcement's commitment to combating this scourge.
