Félicien Kabuga, a Rwandan businessman accused of financing the genocide against the Tutsi in 1994, died on May 16, 2026, in The Hague, Netherlands, at the age of 93. Indicted in 1997, he evaded justice for over twenty years before being arrested in May 2020. His trial, which began in September 2022, was suspended due to his severe dementia.
