Atiku challenges Tinubu to prove he is in Makkah

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar challenged President Bola Tinubu to provide daily, date-stamped proof that he is in Makkah for Umrah. UN votes to condemn embargo of Cuba despite US lobbying push

The United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday passed a resolution condemning the US economic, commercial and financial embargo on Cuba, with 130 votes in favour and 17 against, including the United States and Israel. Pastef described the reported remarks as serious threats and called on Dakar’s public prosecutor to intervene, saying they could constitute an attack on state security. The party also appealed to President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye and demanded strict enforcement of the law. The allegations are those made in Pastef’s statement and do not prejudge any judicial findings.
