Cameroon – Political parties: Tiriane Balbine Noah elected president of the MRC

Tiriane Balbine Noah was elected president of the Movement for the Renaissance of Cameroon (MRC) on October 17, 2026, at the party’s extraordinary convention in Yaoundé. She succeeds Maurice Kamto, having twice served as acting president, including in 2019 after Kamto and several party officials were arrested. Originally from Mefou-et-Akono and a graduate in political science and history, she joined the MRC in 2018 and became its national second vice-president that year.
