Yobe Govt confirms civilian casualties after airstrikes on Jilli village

The Yobe State Government confirmed that civilians were affected during military airstrikes targeting Boko Haram strongholds in Jilli village, located in neighboring Borno State. According to the Special Adviser on Security Matters, Dahiru Abdulsalam, civilians from Geidam Local Government Area, who had traveled to Jilli for the weekly market, were caught in the impact zone. While the affected civilians have been evacuated to Geidam Specialist Hospital, sources claim that the number of casualties could be significantly higher than 50.
