Yomif Kejelcha finished his first marathon in London in 1 hour, 59 minutes, and 41 seconds, becoming the second person to achieve this feat. He finished just 11 seconds behind Kenyan Sabastian Sawe, who set a new world record. At 28, Kejelcha, a former world record holder in the half marathon, expressed his joy and surprise at his result, which he had not anticipated during his preparation.
