RGPH2: "All Congolese, wherever they are, will be reached," reassures the government despite security challenges

The Congolese government plans to launch the second General Census of Population and Housing (RGPH2), including insecure areas and regions affected by population displacements. Patrick Muyaya, government spokesperson, stated that security challenges would not prevent the coverage of the entire population, including in Goma and Bukavu. The census aims to better understand demographic and social realities to improve national development planning, with preparatory operations already underway, including accounting for displaced populations.
