Ballon d'Or 2026: Only two African players make women's top 30 nominees [FULL LIST]

Only two African players, Zambia's Barbra Banda and Malawi's Temwa Chawinga, were nominated for the 2026 Women's Ballon d'Or top 30 nominees. Their selection follows their outstanding performances at the 2026 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which was won by Cameroon in Morocco. Chawinga scored five goals and provided two assists, while Banda also scored five goals and provided one assist.
