2027: RMRDC boss urges Obi to drop his ambition and back Tinubu

Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) Director General Nnanyelugo Ike-Muonso urged Peter Obi, the Nigeria Democratic Congress presidential candidate, to drop his 2027 bid and support Bola Tinubu’s re-election. Speaking in Abuja, he argued that the South should complete its eight-year tenure before power returns to the North, while acknowledging that the Constitution does not require regional rotation. Ike-Muonso also encouraged Obi to join the ruling All Progressives Congress and use his influence to contribute to discussions on governance, economic development and institutional reform.
