Court sentences Boko Haram terrorist to death by hanging

The Federal High Court in Abuja sentenced Auwalu Samaila, a Boko Haram member, to death by hanging after he pleaded guilty to six terrorism-related charges. Judge James Omotosho stated that Samaila was not remorseful despite the atrocities committed. Samaila, from Gulak, Adamawa, was found guilty of participating in multiple attacks between 2012 and 2017, resulting in the deaths of civilians and military personnel.
