The CPPI 2025 report, published by the World Bank and S&P Global Market Intelligence on June 10, 2026, ranks Dakar as the top port in West Africa (144th globally). San Pedro (Côte d'Ivoire) surprises by becoming the second-best West African port and 9th in Africa (211th globally), thanks to a 74% quay occupancy rate and improved administrative efficiency. In contrast, Abidjan lags behind, while Tanger Med (Morocco) dominates North Africa (6th globally).
