Rutshuru: Heavy rains damage homes and alarm residents of Nyamilima

Heavy rains in Nyamilima, in North Kivu’s Rutshuru territory, have flooded residential plots in the Camp 5 Heures neighborhood, where a blocked drainage channel is preventing water from flowing away. Two homes have been damaged and their occupants have left, while residents fear further damage and health risks from stagnant water. They are urging local authorities to clear the channel and restore normal rainwater drainage.
