Dubois destroys Wardley in round two to retain WBO heavyweight crown

Daniel Dubois knocked out Fabio Wardley in the second round at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday to retain his WBO heavyweight title. He dropped his fellow Briton just 17 seconds into the fight with a powerful overhand right and continued to dominate with a barrage of punches. The contest was stopped at two minutes and 21 seconds of the second round after Wardley’s corner threw in the towel. Dubois improved to 24-3 with 23 knockouts, while Wardley fell to 20-2-1.
