Eguavoen, CAF Instructors at War Over Courses

Nigerian CAF instructors accuse NFF technical director Austin Eguavoen of sidelining them from CAF D courses held across several states. Normalisation Committee: Recommended Members Fail FIFA Integrity Test

The announcement of the committee tasked with reorganising Nigerian football has been delayed because several proposed members failed FIFA’s integrity test. The Nigeria Football Federation said on October 22 that FIFA had approved the committee, whose members will be appointed jointly by FIFA and CAF following the resignation of the executive committee led by Ibrahim Gusau. A source said the committee will have between seven and nine members and may include as many as two non-Nigerians. A former NFF general secretary and a former influential executive committee member are lobbying to lead it, and the committee is expected to conclude its work by May 31, 2027.

Patrick Omorodion links achievement to strength of character, integrity and exceptional energy, citing biblical figures including Samson, Elijah, Jacob and Moses. He recalls Nigerian sports administrators Tijjani Umar, who led basketball to its first Afrobasket title, Dan Ngerem, who promoted professionalism in athletics, and Daniel Igali, who personally trained wrestlers. The author also points to Victor Osimhen’s intense commitment for club and country, including tracking back to defend and helping build attacks. The text cuts off as it mentions Gift Orban and Mohamed Salah in the Turkish Süper Lig.
