Osubi Airport refutes bird strike allegation, cites two-year safety record

Osubi Airstrip manager Winston Egwuatu strongly refuted allegations of a bird strike involving an Air Peace aircraft, stating the airport had celebrated nearly two years without such incidents. Kaduna begins return airlift of 2026 Hajj pilgrims on June 15

The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency announced that the airlift of pilgrims from Saudi Arabia back to Nigeria will commence on June 15, 2026. Chairman Malam Salihu S. Abubakar stated that pilgrims will be returned in the same sequence in which they arrived for the 2026 Hajj. No pilgrim will be permitted to alter their return flight outside the agency's arrangements. The agency urged all pilgrims to cooperate for a smooth operation.
