Zoukougbeu: A policeman shot and injured, his service weapon stolen by criminals in Belleville

On April 5, 2026, Sergeant K. K. Arsène was attacked by armed individuals on the Belleville-Zoukougbeu road. He sustained serious injuries to his right arm and right eye from shotgun pellets. His service weapon, a pistol with ammunition, and his mobile phone were stolen by the assailants. After receiving initial care at the rural health center in Belleville, he was evacuated to the Regional Hospital Center in Daloa for specialized treatment.
