DRC: Creation of a Public Housing Bank to Support Sector Financing

The Congolese government announced the creation of a Public Housing Bank to strengthen sector financing and secure social housing programs. Prime Minister Judith Suminwa made this announcement during the Council of Ministers on August 28 in Kinshasa. Government spokesperson Patrick Muyaya emphasized that this initiative is inspired by models from other African countries. The Council also discussed financing agricultural projects through the Economic Regulation Fund (FOREC).
