2027: 42 Delta trade unions back Tinubu, Oborevwori and Dafinone

A coalition of 42 trade unions in Delta State, representing more than 120,000 artisans and informal-sector workers, pledged to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and Ede Dafinone, as well as APC candidates, in the 2027 general elections. The coalition’s leaders announced their support during a solidarity visit to Dafinone, who represents Delta Central Senatorial District. He welcomed their объединение under the Delta State Informal Sector Association, saying it could strengthen grassroots mobilisation and engagement with artisans, traders and other workers.

Ogun 2027: Adebutu dismisses omission from INEC list

Oladipupo Adebutu, the PDP governorship candidate in Ogun State, called his omission from INEC’s list of candidates a temporary distraction and said it would not stop him from contesting in 2027. He spoke in Abeokuta while welcoming more than 1,000 defectors from the APC, led by former lawmaker Segun William, with PDP leaders including Iyabo Obasanjo present.
