2027: Atiku is a serial loser; I’m not afraid of him, says Oshiomhole

Edo North Senator Adams Oshiomhole called African Democratic Congress (ADC) member Atiku Abubakar a “serial loser” and said he was not afraid of him ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 presidential election. Speaking on Channels Television, Oshiomhole cited Atiku’s presidential defeats in 2007, 2011, 2019 and 2023, and said a court ruling voiding the David Mark-led ADC leadership further weakens Atiku’s candidacy. He argued that a possible alliance between Atiku and Peter Obi would not change the election outcome and dismissed Atiku’s promise to restore fuel subsidies. Oshiomhole contrasted President Bola Tinubu, whom he said thinks about the next generation, with Atiku, whom he accused of thinking only about the next election.

It warned that the moves could jeopardize public-finance consolidation, economic recovery and the settlement of payment arrears.
