Prime Minister Judith Suminwa Tuluka presented the main directions of the 2027 budget proposal, focusing on increasing public revenue, broadening the tax base and modernizing financial administrations. The government projects current revenue of 40,211 billion Congolese francs in 2027, rising to 46,029 billion in 2028 and 52,250 billion in 2029. It targets average tax pressure of 13% of GDP over 2027–2029 and aims to reach the sub-Saharan average of 17% by 2035. Announced measures include stronger tax and customs inspections, wider use of standardized invoices for VAT collection, and updated personal income and corporate tax schedules.
