2027: “I’m not a politician,” says APM presidential running mate Lawal Daura

Lawal Daura, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) presidential running mate, said in Abuja on Wednesday that he plays politics but is not a politician. The former director general of the Department of State Services said he would accept the label when the definition of politics in Nigeria changes, criticizing people who excuse lies, deception and crime as politics. He also faulted government officials who use their privileged positions to stifle the opposition, saying a strong opposition can help lower political tensions.
