2027: Wike’s Political Calculations Have Shaped Rivers Politics, Says APC Chieftain

Princewill Dike, an APC chieftain and Port Harcourt lawyer, called FCT Minister Nyesom Wike the “political Chike Obi of Rivers State,” praising his strategic calculations and ability to win elections. Dike recalled that in 2015 Henry Odein Ajumogobia reportedly dropped his bid for the Rivers governorship after Wike declared his own candidacy on the PDP platform. He also cited Wike’s victory over former Governor Rotimi Amaechi’s political camp, saying he had previously called Wike the “political wizard of Rivers State.” Dike welcomed the apparent rapprochement between Wike, Governor Siminalayi Fubara and their supporters, describing it as a step toward reconciliation and unity in the state.
