INTERPOL: Inside the Global Police Chief’s Visit to Cameroon

INTERPOL President Lucas Philippe arrived in Yaoundé on October 18, 2026, for his first visit to Africa since his election in November 2025. The following day, he was received at the Unity Palace by Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh on the head of state’s instructions. His visit includes meetings with the INTERPOL regional bureau for Central Africa and police officials to strengthen intelligence sharing and coordination against terrorism, trafficking and cross-border crime. The delegation is also scheduled to visit the National Video Surveillance Command Center and the National Passport Production Center.
