Cameroon – Patrick Mengue freed: eleven words, six months in Kondengui

Patrick Mengue was released on Saturday, October 24, 2026, after serving six months at Kondengui Central Prison in Yaoundé. Mengue says the eleven words in his comment were a prayer. His release has not closed the questions the case raises about freedom of expression in Cameroon.
