Iran says Hormuz to remain closed until US meets conditions

Iran has stated that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the United States accepts its seven-day plan to reopen the waterway. Iranian parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said Washington made proposals through a mediator after responding to Iran's diplomatic offer. He emphasized that the strait will not open until Iran's seven conditions, based on the Islamabad memorandum, are met, and warned that Iran is prepared to take military action if needed.
