Saudi Pro League postpones matches after Asian Cup rescheduling

The Saudi Pro League postponed matches scheduled for the coming week after the 2027 AFC Asian Cup was rescheduled, the league said on Tuesday. The tournament, originally set for January 7 to February 5, will now run from December 23, 2027, to January 21, 2028, following recent attacks in Saudi Arabia. The league is reviewing its 2026-27 fixture schedule and will announce new dates for matchweek 13 once the review is complete. Several domestic games had already been rescheduled for logistical reasons, and an AFC Champions League match between Al-Nassr and Al Wasl was postponed last month amid a missile threat.
