Benin: CES sets its 2027 budget at 5.29 billion FCFA, up 13.94%

The Economic and Social Council of Benin has set its 2027 budget at 5,295,640,355 FCFA, marking a 13.94% increase from 2026. This vote took place on September 16, 2026, under the presidency of Abdoulaye Bio Tchané. The budget proposal was defended by Gilbert Bangana, rapporteur of the Economy, Finance, and Entrepreneurship Commission, and was approved without opposition, paving the way for the next steps in the budget process.
