Ebola: FG quarantines high-risk contacts as index patient shows signs of recovery

Nigeria’s federal government has quarantined high-risk contacts following confirmation of an Ebola case and is monitoring other contacts. Health Minister Ali Pate said the patient, who was born in Uganda, is showing significant signs of recovery and that no community transmission has been detected. The 46 contacts include 44 people exposed to the patient at a hospital and two domestic staff members; authorities have barred them from air travel.
