DR Congo: Kinshasa welcomes US sanctions against Rwanda’s Defence Ministry and Zigama bank

The Congolese government denounced what it considers insufficient international pressure and urged states, international organizations, business partners, sports sponsors and investors to reconsider their ties with Rwanda. It also reaffirmed its commitment to neutralizing the FDLR, saying more than 800 people, including fighters and their dependents, had surrendered since January 2025.
