Former Minister Adrien Bokele Speaks About the Fishing Boats Ordered by the Government

Former Minister of Fisheries and Livestock, Adrien Bokele Djema, now a deputy, responded to criticisms from his successor, Jean-Pierre Tshimanga Buana, regarding the adaptation of fishing boats to Congolese waters. He explained that operational difficulties were caused by delays in installing cold chain infrastructure, training crews, and developing necessary facilities. He also stated that technical studies had been conducted prior to the acquisition, dismissing allegations of irregularities. Bokele emphasized the need to establish infrastructure such as cold storage rooms and transportation means to develop the fishing value chain.
