Insurgency destroyed over 5,000 Borno schools — Zulum

Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum stated that the insurgency destroyed over 5,000 school structures and forced about 2.2 million children out of school. During the inauguration of several projects in Maiduguri, he highlighted the severe disruption to education caused by the loss of teachers and school administrators. Zulum also mentioned that his administration invested nearly 47 billion naira in basic and secondary education between 2025 and 2026.
