Energy: Senegal signs agreements with Eni to assess 5 areas

Senegal and Eni have signed a memorandum of understanding to assess the potential of five offshore blocks as part of technical studies funded by the Italian group. Energy Minister El Hadji Abdourahmane Diouf announced that the country will offer 109 oil and gas blocks to investors. Currently, only four of the 113 blocks are under contract. These exploration permits, valid for one year, aim to better characterize the seabed before potential drilling.
