Niger Delta must shift from oil to production — Alaibe

Former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Chief Timi Alaibe, called for a fundamental restructuring of the Niger Delta economy to reduce dependence on oil extraction. At the Niger Delta Investment and Economic Summit in Port Harcourt, he emphasized that the region's economic future should focus on production, processing, and trade. Alaibe also highlighted challenges such as high logistics costs and customs procedures that hinder market access.
