Ethiopian armed groups forge alliance against government

Seven Ethiopian armed groups have formed an alliance to overthrow Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed's government, announcing their collaboration to establish an inclusive transitional government. The alliance, called the Ethiopian Peoples’ Forces Alliance for Survival, includes the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) and the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA), among others. This announcement comes after clashes in the Tigray region, raising fears of a return to full-scale war.
