Algeria, Morocco, Cameroon, Malawi: a record windfall already for the 2027 Women’s World Cup!
FIFA announced that each of the 32 federations qualified for the 2027 Women’s World Cup will receive $2.5 million to prepare for the tournament in Brazil, scheduled for June 24 to July 25. Morocco, Algeria, Cameroon and Malawi will therefore receive a combined $10 million in preparation funds, to be made available before December. The allocation matches the amount given to teams at the 2026 men’s World Cup and exceeds the prize announced for the last Women’s Africa Cup of Nations champion. Tournament participation and performance prizes will be detailed later, while FIFA also plans to improve minimum player compensation, club payments and team accommodation.
