The Metropolitan Police said 325 people were arrested at a protest in London’s Nine Elms on Saturday in support of Palestine Action, which was banned in July 2025. Of those arrested, 320 were suspected of expressing support for a proscribed organisation under the Terrorism Act. Home Office figures and previous arrests put the total since the ban at 4,089, while the UK Supreme Court is due to review the proscription after an appeal was allowed. Amnesty International UK and Defend Our Juries criticised the arrests, with the latter calling them an assault on free speech.
