BREAKING – United States: Modou Ngom sentenced to 22 and a half years in prison for fatal pileup

Modou Ngom was sentenced to 22 and a half years in prison, the maximum penalty, after a pileup on I-71 in Delaware County on April 11, 2026. Driving a semi-truck through a construction zone, he struck stopped vehicles, killing Luke Soposki, his wife Lynnea and their one-year-old son Logan, and injuring three others. A jury found him guilty in September of three counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and five counts of vehicular assault; he will not be eligible for parole before 2048, and his lawyer plans to appeal. A separate investigation concerns alleged identity and immigration-document fraud by Ngom.
