China’s CRBC bags Sh3.2bn deal to upgrade Old Mombasa Road

China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), a major Chinese state-owned engineering and construction firm, has been awarded a 3.22 billion shilling contract to upgrade the seven-kilometer Old Mombasa Road connecting the Nairobi Inland Container Depot (ICD) to Syokimau. The project aims to improve the road's capacity, drainage, safety, and reliability. The road links the port of Mombasa to Nairobi, enhancing trade and transportation in the region.
