Nigeria records its first Ebola virus infection case

Nigeria has confirmed its first Ebola case since the latest outbreak began affecting Africa. The patient, a woman who travelled from Uganda to Abuja on an international flight, was treated for several days at a private hospital before her diagnosis was confirmed. Health Minister Muhammad Ali Pate said she is in isolation and receiving medical care. Contact tracing has begun, with 44 close contacts identified so far.
