APC Holds Court-Ordered Primary Rerun in 11 Plateau Wards

The All Progressives Congress (APC) held a primary rerun on Wednesday in 11 wards of the Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency in Plateau State, in compliance with a High Court ruling. Voting was delayed in parts of Jos South because electoral officials and materials had not arrived, while voting had begun in several Jos East wards. Plateau APC chairman Rufus Bature said electoral and appeal committees were in place to oversee the exercise and handle complaints. Electoral committee chairman Simon Karu Elisha promised a transparent process and a level playing field for aspirants.
