Nasarawa police arrest three over forged anti-corruption commission ID and seize unregistered Lexus

Nasarawa State police arrested Mohammed Umar, Mohammed Nuhu and Ibrahim Suleiman after intercepting an unregistered Lexus IS 250 during a patrol in Bukan Sidi, Lafia. Nuhu identified himself as an ICPC officer and presented an identity card that investigators later found was allegedly forged. Police said Umar was driving but could not satisfactorily explain the vehicle’s ownership, and profiling also linked Nuhu to the Eiye Confraternity. The three remain in custody as police investigate the vehicle’s ownership and possible additional offences, and say they will be charged in court.
