Delta HOSTCOM clarifies its position on DESOPADEC publication

Delta HOSTCOM says it neither adopted nor endorsed Swill Mavua’s article criticizing Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and urging voters to reject him and the APC in 2027. Chairman Chief Comrade Sunday Ndidi Enujeke and Secretary High Comrade Joseph Lamienghan said the views in the publication belong to its author alone. Over the dispute concerning a 30% payment to DESOPADEC workers, HOSTCOM urged workers and management to keep the peace and await the court’s ruling. The organization supports the goals of Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda but called for engagement on DESOPADEC funding, its statutory duties, transparency and the welfare of oil-producing communities.
