ADC chairmen ask INEC to remove David Mark, threaten nationwide protest

The ADC National Executive Committee Chairmen Forum has asked INEC to remove Senator David Mark and members of his dissolved interim committee from its portal and replace them with Nafiu Bala Gombe and other officials it regards as the party’s legitimate leaders. Forum secretary Kennedy Odion threatened a nationwide protest if INEC does not implement Federal High Court judge Peter Lifu’s ruling nullifying Mark’s interim leadership. Odion said the judgment invalidates Atiku Abubakar’s presidential nomination and other candidacies arising from congresses and a convention organised by the interim leadership. The forum also wants INEC to reopen its portal so the party can hold fresh primaries where needed and submit candidates for the 2027 general elections.
