After cement, Dangote establishes an oil company in Cameroon led by Bertrand Mbouck

Dangote Oil & Gas Cameroon SA was established on October 28, 2026, with initial capital of 10 million CFA francs and Bertrand Mbouck as managing director. Aliko Dangote is one of the company’s four directors; its headquarters are in Douala-Bonanjo, and it has declared an operations centre in the Kribi industrial zone. The initial capital is the legal minimum set by OHADA for a public limited company and does not indicate the scale of planned oil investments; the legal notice does not name the shareholders or specify their stakes. The company was created three months after the group presented the government with a petroleum-products storage and transport project, discussed when Dangote Group vice-president Devakumar Edwin met Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute on July 21, 2026.

Matungulu urged that transport corridors link agricultural basins, mining areas, industrial hubs and markets to promote local processing, jobs and value creation in the DRC. He named “connect” as a fourth requirement, alongside deciding, building and financing, for turning infrastructure into a driver of development.
