DRC: At the close of RIF 2026, think tank urges turning transport corridors into drivers of economic development

The third RDC Transport Infrastructure & Logistics Investment Forum concluded in Kinshasa on October 28 after three days of discussions on transport infrastructure, logistics sovereignty and regional integration. Organized by the think tank RDC STRATÉGIE, chaired by Bodom Matungulu, the forum brought together public officials, investors, business operators and sector experts; Deputy Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Bemba attended the closing ceremony. Matungulu urged that transport corridors link agricultural basins, mining areas, industrial hubs and markets to promote local processing, jobs and value creation in the DRC. He named “connect” as a fourth requirement, alongside deciding, building and financing, for turning infrastructure into a driver of development.
