After His Third Marriage, Nigerian Man Gives Villa and Car to First Wife in Gratitude

Dr Habeeb Adewuyi reportedly gave several gifts to his first wife after marrying a third woman in Nigeria. The gifts were presented on November 2, 2026, the day after the wedding, and included a new house, a new car, an iPhone, money and a trip to Mecca for Umrah. Social media posts said the gifts recognized her patience, loyalty and support as her husband added two other wives to the household. Videos shared online show some of the gifts being presented.

Overseas scholarships: Applications open, here’s how students can apply

Senegal’s Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation has opened boursesetrangeres.campusen.sn for applications for scholarships for the 2026/2027 academic year. In a statement dated November 3, Minister Boubacar Camara said applications will be accepted online from November 10 to December 11, 2026. Senegalese students enrolled at universities abroad may apply for socio-educational, joint-supervision or mobility scholarships. Paper applications will not be accepted, and each applicant must use a single email address or risk rejection for duplicate submissions.

UNICEF commends Taraba over education reforms

UNICEF praised Taraba State’s education reforms, including free basic and secondary education, the abolition of illegal school fees and the distribution of learning materials. UNICEF official Nuzhat Rafique said the measures had helped increase enrolment from about 760,000 to more than one million pupils. Governor Agbu Kefas launched the Nigeria Learning Passport, a digital platform intended to support learning, especially for children affected by crises or disruptions to schooling. The pilot will begin in 50 schools, with plans to expand it to more institutions.
