Algeria: 7 contributions in 10 matches, Hamache knocks on Hemdani’s door

At 23, Franco-Algerian winger Ilyes Hamache is enjoying a strong start to the season with Dutch club Cambuur, recording five goals and two assists in the Eredivisie. In a 6-1 win over Willem II, he scored with a delicate chip and provided an assist, following another goal against AZ Alkmaar. After emerging at Valenciennes, Hamache had spells at Schalke 04 and Amiens. His current form could persuade Brahim Hemdani to call him up for Algeria’s November camp, although competition includes Mohamed Amoura and Adil Boulbina.
