All Blacks give Orlando Pirates' jersey unexpected global spotlight

Several All Blacks players were spotted wearing Orlando Pirates’ 2026/27 away jersey when they arrived in Scotland on Saturday for the Nations Championship. The choice was linked to the two teams sharing Adidas as their technical sponsor, and the players wore the shirt on the day Pirates faced Kaizer Chiefs in the Soweto Derby. Pirates won 2-1 and extended their unbeaten league start to eight wins and one draw, leaving them second with 23 points, one behind Mamelodi Sundowns, who have played a game more. The club recently also became the first PSL team to appear on the South African Fashion Week runway.
